Charlie puts the "bear scare" to rest

Charlie's tent was home to Charlotte, Mom and me (and the girls, of course!)

Our evening meal consisted of gourmet hamburgers, hot dogs, Polish dogs, potato salad, veggies, and finally s'mores and marshmallows around the campfire. Nobody starved!

A quick trip to the top of Steens gave us a view of Big Indian gorge as the sun was setting, and a nice sunset

We sat around the fire, eating and talking, stargazing and counting meteors and satellites

Thursday morning's menu featured gourmet pancakes (secret recipe!)

The roads were "a little muddy". Something of an understatement!
